Bio

                 Martin Ganner

I was born in 1961 in the United Kingdom. Raised in Birmingham, I bought my first camera when I was 17. It was a totally manual, Zenith EM, Russian-made, SLR camera. This forced me to learn the principles of photography in some depth, since every setting of aperture and shutter had be set manually to get the right exposure for every shot.
I soon found that my preferred subjects were animals, sunsets and landscapes and they remain to this day, my favourite subject matter. I have broadened my subject interest in recent years, taking a deeper interest in the effects of light, shadow on my subjects. I have also become interested in capturing startling images of city architecture with an emphasis on lighting effects within the city environment.
